Bob Hitch is a Senior Engineer, Program Manager, and Regional Manager with Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute and Energy and Sustainability Services group and co-developer of ANSI/MSE2000 the Management System for Energy standard. He graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and from Columbus State University with an MBA (Phi Kappa Phi). His 39 years of engineering experience include: Engineering and Material Resources Manager (4 years), Senior Product Development Engineer (10 years), VP of Product Engineering, VP of Material Resources and VP of Plant Engineering (10 years), before coming to Georgia Tech. He is a registered professional engineer in Georgia and Indiana. At Georgia Tech for 16 years to-date, Bob is conducting Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) and US DOE Energy Saving Assessments in energy. He also provides Green Supplier [EPA] Network environmental assessments. He is manager of the Georgia Environmental Partnership (GEP), collaboration with the Pollution Prevention Division of Georgia DNR and the University of Georgia, where efforts center on sustainable practices, industrial energy and water conservation.
