The Northwest Energy Management Demonstration Project (NW EM Demo) is the beta demonstration project in a planned nation-wide series that will help test the value of an industry-designed national energy-efficiency certification program.
The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) is co-sponsoring the NW EM Demo in partnership with the US Department of Energy (US DOE). With the support of their local utilities, the companies, who represent a wide cross-section of industry in the Northwest, are: Amcor PET, Grays Harbor Paper, Kenworth Trucking; and the JR Simplot Co.
The NW EM Demo provides mentored implementation of a fully integrated and sustainable energy management system guided by experts from Georgia Tech in conjunction with regional energy consultants.
